Incident: The California Rodeo Salinas is almost here!

Big Week festivities are just a few days away, the weeklong celebration kicks off on Saturday July 16 with a Banda MS Concert at the Salinas Sports Complex starting at 5PM.

There are going to be many events happening during the entire week; there will be PBR Bull Riding, horse parades, Kiddie Capers parade, carnival and of course two days and two nights of nonstop rodeo action July 21- July 24

To ensure the safety of all attendees at these events, The Salinas Police Department will have extra police officers present at all these family events including uniformed officers, SWAT personnel, Violence Suppression Task Force members and undercover officers. In addition, we will have our Mobile Command Vehicle and drones on scene to monitor the rodeo grounds as these events take place.

Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for visitors and our community during this, the biggest event in the city, the California Rodeo Salinas!
