Murder victim identified:

On September 20, 2020, at approximately 10:52 PM, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the wooded area in the 800 block of East Laurel Dr.  Officers scoured the area and located two males suffering from gunshot wounds.  One male died from his wounds and the other victim, a 28-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

The homicide victim has been positively identified as Roberto Vargas Hernandez (38).
