On 3/27/21 at approximately 2:00 am Salinas Police Officers responded to 400 block of Rainier Dr. on a ShotSpotter alert of gunshots in the area. While responding to the ShotSpotter they were advised of a victim of a shooting in the area of Linwood Dr. and Rainier Dr. On arrival they located an adult male 27 years of age suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital however he died as a result of his injuries. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
