On March 11, 2020, at approximately 12:46 pm, community members reported shots fired in the area of Cherokee Drive and North First Street.  A short time later, someone reported a victim of a shooting in the same area.  Officers responded and found the 20-year-old, male victim in the 1800 block of Cherokee Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and lower extremities.  He was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. After the shooting, the suspect(s) was seen entering a dark colored vehicle.  This is being investigated as gang related.
